An Egg Engine.
It is an egg sandwich that looks like a train using sliced brown bread, egg salad filling and carrot wheels and other amusing food “cargo”

Or make up your own!
You will need (per child) three slices of brown bread and egg sandwich filling using two eggs. You will also need some carrots cut into discs for wheels and and into sticks for "cargo." You may wish to make some celery stick cargo as well.
Mayonaise is a great culture for bacteria, so the engines if eaten, must not sit around in a warm room. Encourage the children to finish them and then photograph them before they are eaten.
