Cook and Count

Using various pieces of kitchen equipment, get the child/ren to associate the different materials: plastic, metal, glass, and wood with the look of those materials.

Then group all the equipment of the same materials together.

You will have:

• A group of glass objects
• A group of metal objects
• A group of plastic objects
• A group of wooden objects
• And possibly a group of mixed objects- for example a metal strainer/sieve with a wooden handle
