Eggs

Eggs are the food for baby animals such as chickens, birds and ducks. The eggs we buy from the supermarket will not result in baby animals -these have been especially made to be used as good food for us.

Eggs contain protein which makes us grow.

Eggs change shape with heat, which enables us to make all sorts of interesting and diverse dishes from them.

The egg recipes here are designed for children to make mostly by themselves. Most recipes involve small quantities of eggs which can cook quickly and be eaten straight away. Some recipes require two stages eg. The Egg Engine, which begins with a boiled egg filling and ends up as a sandwich.

To get eggs to room temperature - take them out of the refrigerator 20 minutes before using.
