Sequences are pictures of an event that happens in order. Here the sequences are mixed up. The children can colour and cut the four pictures and then rearrange them in the order that they would actually happen. For example: the chicken cannot break out of the egg until the shell is cracked, we cannot buy milk before the cow is milked, etc.
Arranging sequences helps children learn to think logically.
Sequences can be enjoyed by children to review processes they have already learned. After reading a book about where sugar comes from, it would be fun for the children to put the sugar pictures into the right sequence.
Children can also make up their own sequences: for example, after making something or playing a game or going to the supermarket, have the children draw four pictures about the event and see if you can figure out the "story."
